Ms. Dubé was appointed by the Governor General in Council as the chief executive officer of the Federal Bridge Corporation Limited effective March 31, 2008, to hold office during pleasure for a term of five years. Prior to that, she had been appointed by the Governor in Council as the chief executive officer of the National Capital Commission to hold office during pleasure, on April 4, 2007.With the NCC since 1982, Ms. Dubé has held positions of increasing responsibility. Prior to being appointed its chief executive officer, she held the position of executive vice-president and chief operating officer, to which she had been appointed on February 14, 2005.
A commerce graduate from the University of Ottawa, she became a certified management accountant (CMA) in 1982. In October 2004, she was awarded fellow of the Society of Management Accountants (FCMA), a prestigious, national honorary designation recognizing CMAs who, by their achievements, bring distinction to the profession and serve as role models for others. An FCMA designation demonstrates excellence in management accounting, commitment to CMA Canada, and civic-mindedness. Prior to joining the NCC, Ms. Dubé was a senior auditor with the Office of the Auditor General of Canada.
Ms. Dubé lives in Ottawa, Ontario with her husband, Frank Chiarello and their children, Francine and Bruno.
