How Myriam arrived at French for the Future
Born to francophone parents and raised in an English-speaking town in Northern Ontario (Manitoulin Island), Myriam is completely bilingual.  As a result, she knows first-hand that the opportunities presented to bilingual Canadians are much greater than to those who are unilingual. Shortly after graduating from a Bachelor of Education degree from McGill University, Myriam spent two years teaching French Immersion to First-Nations students in an isolated village in James Bay.  She later moved to Mexico and, for three years, taught in a bilingual school. When Myriam came back to Canada, fate brought her and French for the Future together and it was an instant fit. She is thrilled to be working towards a national goal she truly believes in: to make Canadian students bilingual!
