How I practice French in everyday life
In 2001, I moved from Toronto to help set up my firm’s office in Montreal: speaking French is now part of my day to day professional life.  My eleven year old daughter and I regularly speak to each other in French too: hers is getting better than mine!

Why I think bilingualism is so important
Bilingualism opens many different doors:  it gives you access to other cultures and experiences; it allows you travel and really understand a country that speaks your second language; it offers professional mobility (I have worked in Ottawa, Toronto and Montreal); and, in Canada, it enables you to have a deeper appreciation for some of what is most special about our country.

Favourite food
I have a weakness for really good “frites”

Favourite artist/music

Always changing: right now, Brett Dennen
