The Edmonton French for the Future Local Forum welcomed over 200 students from French immersion, French as second-language and Francophone schools in the Edmonton region and Northern Alberta on Friday February 19th, 2016 at Campus Saint-Jean, University of Alberta. This Forum strives to provide students with the space to engage with one another in French and to show them the opportunities available to them for a future in French.

The participants had the opportunity to attend a conference facilitated by Krista Monson, casting director of Cirque du Soleil, to participate in various interactive workshops, as well as attend an inspiring performance from Ariane Mahrӱke Lemire. In addition, the participants were able to meet and engage with many other young enthusiasts of the French language to build relationships and expand their horizons toward an inclusive and diverse Francophone community, in order to equip them to continue their learning and their education in French.

This day was much appreciated and it was a wonderful experience for the participants.

Come out to celebrate the French language and French!
