Collège Boréal

On Tuesday March 1st, 2016, close to 200 students from the Sudbury area will gather at Collège Boréal for the French for the Future Local Forum.

The Ligue Nationale d’Improvisation from Montreal will kick off the fun with a one-hour improv battle followed by improv workshops. The day will also offer an opportunity to participate in a public-speaking workshop, over several others. Guest speaker Hughie Batherson, Vice-President of Student Affairs at l’Université Sainte-Anne in Nova Scotia, will then share the story of his path towards bilingualism as a student, teacher and Francophile. French for the Future Ambassador from Sudbury, Jordan Bates-Wright, will preside over the day’s activities along with Élodie Dorsel, our master of ceremonies.

The Local Forum gives students a rare opportunity to meet new people and celebrate bilingualism while discovering and learning about the cultural and professional benefits of fluency in both of Canada’s official languages.

Registrations are now closed! We look forward to see you on March, 1st!
