Ottawa, June 11, 2025 - French for the Future presents its 35 ambassadors who will participate in the next Forum national des jeunes ambassadeurs (FNJA). The forum brings together 35 students in grades 10 and 11 (grades 3 and 4 in Quebec) from 10 provinces and 3 territories, enrolled in a French-language program. This year, the selected students will take part in a 6-day adventure in Ottawa from August 3 to 8, 2025: a dynamic week of workshops, activities and unforgettable experiences focusing on the importance of bilingualism. Travel, accommodation and all activities are fully covered.

The young people come from all over the country!

This year, the National Ambassador Youth Forum will take place on the University of Ottawa campus. Through a series of training sessions on leadership, project management and speaking in French, young people will learn about the challenges of bilingualism. They will understand the importance of learning French for their careers and personal lives, and will be able to use their language skills to develop their self-confidence in French. For many, this stay is the start of their leadership journey. They will learn how to turn their project ideas into reality. Their mission as ambassadors is to promote the French language and official bilingualism in their school and community throughout the year following FNJA by organizing French-related activities.

"Seeing young people gathered around the Francophonie at the FNJA is always a striking experience. They demonstrate a sincere love of the French language and an admirable determination to take concrete action and make an impact in their communities. Each edition is truly a transformative adventure, both for them and for those they impact." - Ange Morane Yapo, Communication Officer for French for The Future
