Our programs connects youth ages 12-18 across Canada through inspiring events and transformative experiences that fuel self-confidence, leadership, and a passion for French and Francophone cultures.
NATIONAL AMBASSADORS YOUTH FORUM
The national forum brings together 35 young people for a week of intense training to become advocates of bilingualism. The following school year, they’ll be promoting French in their schools and communities!
Who is it for? Students in grades 10 and 11 (secondary 3 and 4 in Quebec)
When? In the summer, registrations starts in April
Where? In a different city each year
LOCAL FORUMS
Local Forums take place in over 15 cities across the country, bringing together more than 3,000 students for a day of workshops and fun cultural activities in French. The event bring together students from different French background and of all level.
Who is it for? For students in grades 7 to 12 (Secondary 1 to 5 in Quebec)
When? Throughout the school year
Where? Multiple cities around the country
NATIONAL ESSAY CONTEST
By writing a 750-word essay, students can win one of many scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $28,000 to pursue their post-secondary studies entirely or partially in French. A new theme is revealed each year that allows students to reflect on a topic, in French.
Who is it for? For students in grades 10 to 12 (Secondary 4 to Cegep in Quebec)
When? In the fall

BILINGUAL YOUNG LEADERS
Our youth committee is made up of at least seven bilingual young people with the desire and motivation to carry out one or more projects to promote bilingualism.
Who is it for? For youth aged 16 to 22
When? Participants are selected for a two-year term.
Where? Online. The committee will meet at least once for a week-end in Ottawa.
FRANCONNEXION SESSION
These fun online resources make the connection between the French learned in class and the French used in everyday life. Posters and small prizes are sent in September and January.

When? Online resources can be downloaded all tear long, special kits can be order in September and January.

UNITED BILINGUAL CORRESPONDENTS
A pen pal program for young people across Canada to discuss their interests in French, using the communication methods of their choice.
Who is it for? For students in grades 7 to 12 (Secondary 1 to Cegep 1 in Quebec)
When? Throughout the school year, registrations open in September.
Where? Online
FR+
Fr+ is an online space, entirely in French, where teenagers can discuss 24/7 about topics that interest them. Fr+ helps them discover francophone content and stay connected to their francophone community at all times.
Who is it for? For youth aged 14 to 18

LANCE TON BALADO
In partnership with Salon du Livre de l'Outaouais and the French embassy in Canada. Students are invited to team up and create a podcast on a given topic

A blog created by youth, for youth, where teenagers can share their ideas and perspectives in French. From personal stories to trending topics, it’s a space where they can connect and express themselves.
