D-6 before the National Ambassadors Youth Forum
Only 6 days to go before 35 young ambassadors from 9 provinces and 1 territory gather in Halifax for the National Ambassador Youth Forum (FNJA), French for the Future’s annual event. The forum will take place from August 13 to 18, 2023, on the campus of Mount Saint Vincent University.
On the agenda for the young Francophone & Francophile: games in French, a visit to Peggy’s cove and downtown Halifax, leadership and project management workshops, outdoor activities and many more surprises!
For 5 days, participants will be able to use their French to make friends with other bilingual enthusiasts from across Canada. The forum is an opportunity for them to start building their Francophone and Francophile network and develop their leadership skills. Over the past 19 years, the forum has trained more than 600 ambassadors, many of whom are still involved in the Francophonie today.
During the 2023-2024 school year, ambassadors will be responsible for fulfilling commitments in French to promote bilingualism in their schools. They can create French groups, organize game nights, write blog posts in French, etc. Their imagination is the limit!
