CHARLES ASHIKWE
Charles Ashikwe grew up in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, where he completed his formative years of schooling in French. He is an alumnus of the University of Ottawa’s Telfer School of Business where he completed his studies in English and majored in Commerce with a specialization in Accounting. He is also a Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant, Certified Management Accountant.
Since graduating from the University of Ottawa, he has worked for the University of Ottawa Telfer School of Business as a trust fund Manager. In 2008, he officially joined the Federal Government of Canada in the Financial Management Branch of the department of Natural Resources Canada as an officer in the management of grants and contributions. He is currently a Senior Analyst at the department of Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada where he works on the departmental annual budget, treasury board submissions and memorandum to cabinet. He is also a part-time teacher at Algonquin College school of business. His work experience includes accounting operation, financial system management, Financial resource Management, costing and Financial Advisory.
