We are looking for:
Communications and Marketing Support
Are you interested in communications, marketing or digital media and want to help engage young people in the French language across Canada? Join French for the Future as a communications and marketing volunteer and help us spread the word about initiatives that engage young people with the French language.
In this role, you'll support the communications team by contributing to the creation of digital content and creative projects to promote our programs and activities.
Responsibilities
Depending on your skills and interests, you may contribute to :

Fr+ Treasure Hunt Animator
French for the Future has created a fun and interactive activity designed to introduce students to its online platform Fr+. As a volunteer facilitator, you will lead a one-hour “Fr+ Treasure Hunt” workshop that helps students discover French-language resources while engaging in a dynamic group activity.
Responsibilities

Schedule workshops within their school

Facilitate a one-hour Fr+ Treasure Hunt workshop for students aged 14–18

Guide students through the activity and encourage participation

Help promote the Fr+ platform and its resources

Provide brief feedback after each workshop
Commitment
Volunteers are asked to facilitate a minimum of four Treasure Hunt workshops during the program period.

Students in high school, teachers, or postsecondary staff are welcome to apply

This is a remote position.
Operational Support (Ottawa)
French for the Future is looking for volunteers to support occasional administrative and logistical tasks at our Ottawa office. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on tasks and want to contribute behind the scenes to programs that promote youth engagement in French across Canada.
Responsibilities

Assist with preparing and assembling educational toolkits that will be sent to teachers across Canada

Support inventory organization during scheduled “inventory days”

Help with occasional administrative or logistical tasks at the office
Commitment
This is a long-term but occasional volunteer role, with busier periods typically in September and January, when volunteers may be invited to help for a few hours during the week.
Schedule
Volunteering takes place in person at the Ottawa office, typically on Mondays or Tuesdays between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., depending on your availability.

Can I volunteer if I'm under 18?
Yes, it is possible to volunteer with French for the Future if you are under 18. Parental consent is required for all volunteer activities outside the school environment.
Do I have to work a certain number of hours each week?
The number of hours will be determined in advance according to your availability. However, we ask you to respect the commitments made for the duration of your involvement.
Do you accept all applications?
We do our best to involve as many volunteers as possible. However, we cannot accept all applications.
Can I volunteer just for one time?
Yes, it is possible to get involved for very short term mission, for example for events or as operational support.
Can I do my school volunteering with you?
Yes, it's possible to complete your school volunteer hours with French for the Future.
What kind of volunteer work can I do?
Several types of volunteer work are available at French for the Future, including communications and administrative support.
Depending on the role, activities can take place online or in person. In-person opportunities take place mainly in Ottawa or in high schools.
