The Ottawa Local Forum is almost here!

This year's Ottawa Local Forum will be held on February 19, 2025 at the University of Ottawa! We'll be welcoming 250 students from French immersion and French second-language schools in Canada's capital region.

During this day devoted entirely to the French language, participants will be able to immerse themselves in interactive and entertaining workshops, attend enriching conferences and take part in an unforgettable concert. Designed to combine fun and learning, these sessions will enable students from different linguistic communities to network while enjoying a day of activities in French.

Mathieu Gingras

Mathieu Gingras is originally from Quebec, and graduated from the Université de Moncton with a Bachelor's degree in Education and History/Geography. Fascinated by the richness of Canada's cultures, he completed a Master's degree in Public Administration at the same university and became Director of Student Recruitment Development at the Université de Moncton.

Mehdi Cayenne

Singer-songwriter, poet, writer, actor, radio commentator: Mehdi Cayenne is a free spirit from the French-speaking world, a quick-witted chameleon who writes over, under and off the beaten track. Cayenne has developed his eclectic, minimalist and evocative approach over the course of his last four albums.
