PRESS RELEASE
OTTAWA, April 6, 2021 – French for the Future invites bilingual students in grade 10 and 11 from across Canada to submit their application before April 30 to have the chance to participate in the Forum national des jeunes ambassadeurs 2021 (2021 FNJA), which will be held online from August 6 to 12. From the list of candidates, 40 teenagers will be selected to take part in 5 days of leadership workshops and cultural activities focused on the importance of french language learning and the value of bilingualism.
By participating in the #FNJA2021, these 40 teenagers will become French for the Future ambassadors. Their mission will be to promote French language learning and bilingualism throughout the following school year. French for the Future encourages its ambassadors and helps them to organize events for their peers in their schools and in their communities.
"Each year, the Forum national des jeunes ambassadeurs is an unforgettable experience for participating students. With this year being our second virtual edition, we have the opportunity to create a pancanadian digital community that brings together kids who are passionate about bilingualism and partners from the francophonie. Our ambassadors will be able to learn and grow in French before leaving the 2021 FNJA with newfound friends, as well as sharpened project management and leadership skills," explains Geneviève Gobeil, Program Coordinator at French for the Future.
The #FNJA2021 is entirely free of charge and students can submit their application starting now by visiting French for the Future's website. Registration will come to a close on April 30, 2021.
Good luck to all candidates!
