Nicholas Berry
Born in Dieppe, Nicholas Berry, or as everyone calls him; Berry, is a recruiting officer in French immersion for the University of Moncton. Coming from a family with a francophone parent and a francophone parent, French language has always been a challenge for him. He understands very well the reality of linguistic insecurity that people can feel within the francophonie. With perseverance and a support system, Berry is now much more comfortable in French and uses his experiences to encourage those who live with similar feelings. As recruiting agent in French immersion, Berry takes to heart his responsibility to offer educational opportunities to francophones, whether as their first-language or as an additional language.
